5 tips on how to pack light

I am here to inspire you to pack light on your next trip. One of my favorite quotes came from a yogi tea bag, “live light, travel light, spread the light, be the light.” Huge emphasis on the travel light! Below are some tips on how to do just that.

Choose clothes you can mix & match

This allows you to have a different outfit for everyday, but bring less clothes at the same time. Roll your clothes, it takes up less room in your luggage.

Only bring two to three pairs of shoes

You do not need 5 pairs, trust me! Same goes for bathing suits, an issue I have when packing.

Do laundry while traveling

Laundry service or laundry mats are always an option.

Ditch the bulky clothes

Invest in packable outerwear, like this LLBean Packaway Jacket.

Bonus tip for scuba divers

You do not need to bring all your gear. Rental gear will save you from lugging heavy gear around airports. Bring your dive card, log book and dive computer (if you have one). For trips I know I will be in the water often I will also bring my mask, fins, and snorkel. Rarely I bring my own wetsuit, regulator, or bcd. It does depend on the trip, but remember you can always rent! If you must bring all your gear try Aqua Lung’s Travel Line.

Don’t forget to book your trip with your favorite travel planner, yours truly. Hopefully I have inspired you to pack light, check out my post What to wear on a long flight!
