How to spend 24 hours in Dublin.

Have a short layover in Dublin or just staying a night before exploring the countryside? Here are my suggestions on how to spend 24 hours in Dublin.

As soon as you get off that plane, make your way straight to LEGIT COFFEE CO., you will thank me later.

What jet lag?

Next, take a tour of the Guinness Storehouse and enjoy a fresh pint of Guinness while taking in the amazing views of Dublin. Buy your tickets in advance for a cheaper price, shorter line, and a free pint!

After your free pint of Guinness, head on over to Brazen Head, the oldest pub in Ireland. Grab yourself some Bangers & Mash and another pint while enjoying the atmosphere!

Once your stomachs are full, take in the river views by kayak with City Kayaking or take a walking tour. For history buffs, take a tour of the Kilmainham Gaol Museum or visit the Book of Kells at Trinity College. To admire the local architecture visit Christchurch Cathedral, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Dublin Castle.

When you’re ready for another pint, walk along the river to the Temple Bar district. Start with a local pint at Porterhouse, they brew their own beers. Then cross the street to Turk’s Head, where inside you will find cool mosaics. Then it’s time to refuel at Klaw, featuring laidback crabshack style dining. Grab some quick, local seafood there before heading to Bad Bob’s for some good live music. Last, but not least, end the night with The Temple Bar.

Sláinte!
